Art Therapy

Working together through the process of Art Therapy can help you understand and manage challenging situations, issues and emotions. It encourages self-reflection and can help reduce pain, anxiety and stress.

Anyone can be creative in some form or another and I provide a range of art materials for you to use (e.g. chalks, oil pastels, paints, modroc). You do not need to have previous experience or skill in art to benefit from Art Therapy.

Having the opportunity to express and talk through issues can help you process your thoughts and feelings. Art Therapy can help increase awareness, communication and self-esteem.

 

People who may benefit are those:​

  • Coping with life changing circumstances

  • Experiencing extreme emotional distress

  •  Suffering with anxiety

  • Struggling with particular life events such as bereavement, changes in family structure

  • Who have suffered or are suffering trauma

  • With learning difficulties or physical disabilities

  • With Autistic Spectrum Conditions

  • Undergoing cancer or other treatments

  • Lacking in confidence or with low self esteem
